TENDING GRANDKIDS IN FRUITLAND

In February, the Pryor's decided that if they were ever going to snowboard for their anniversary, it better not be on their anniversary (May).  Soooo, Granny and Grumpy got to tend the kids for a couple of days while the parents played.

We took two days to get to Fruitland, which allowed us a night in Boise for our belated anniversary.  We ate at a couple of Food Network stops.  Look at the smirk that says I want some of the best garlic cheese bread I have ever eaten, so hurry and take the stinkin'  picture.  We also enjoyed a salmon pizza, mmmmm!

The next morning, on the way to Fruitland, we stopped at the Orchard house in Caldwell.  Breakfast was yummy!

In Fruitland, after we ditched the parents, we took Tyson and Abby to the Build-a-Bear store in Boise.  We had fun playing in the mall and took them out for lunch.  It was a fun weekend!!!

CHRISTMAS AT THE HELLSTROMS - 2010

The whole family was able to assemble for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning in 2010!

There was good food, with traditional Swedish Meatballs and potato boats (we'll try and see that the brussell spouts don't get included again).

Matching P.J.'s for everyone, except somebody decided to desecrate theirs!

Traditional candle lighting on Christmas Eve

And plenty of time for board games.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AT WHEELER FARM

Emily spent many hours in November preparing Wheeler Historic Farm for the Christmas holidays.  They offer tractor rides out into the farm to see the light display.  Before the rest of the family arrived for Christmas we decided to see the lights.

Here is our "farmer daughter" at the controls of the Kubota!
