Our family is growing. Heidi and Randy had an addition to their family on October 9, 2009. Abby Jo Pryor was born in Ontario, Oregon. Granny was able to spend the week in Fruitland being Tyson's buddy as they adjusted to their new addition. The following weekend Grumpy was able to join them for a couple of days of fun!

Fun at Granny's House

Playing in the sandbox

Water fun!

Jumping on the trampoline!

"Bourne" Stunt Double

During our most recent trip to Fruitland, to celebrate Emily's birthday, we went to a pond for an afternoon of fun. There were canoes, floating docks, swings, slides and of course the zip line for Randy's fun and games!

Tyson and Trixy

Tyson and Trixy "jumping" on the trampoline in Riverton.

Tyson checks out Trixy's home away from home in Fruitland.

The Hellstrom Yard

The fruits of our garden... Granny with the days harvest of raspberries. Pass the cream!

Grumpy helping weed the flower beds. These Iris's have a geneology going back to the home on Loveland Avenue and possibly back the Grandma (Ida) Hellstrom.

The Lost Ducklings

Wednesday afternoon I went out to see why the dogs were so excited in the backyard. Momma duck had six babies with her but wasn't happy with the dogs (who were separated from the ducks by a fence) or me.

Looking around I could see the cause for her agitation wasn't me or the dogs but the four ducklings that had fallen into the firepit.

The neighbors helped me free the ducklings from the firepit and then after locking up the dogs we "hearded ducks" through the back yard to the canal.

Weekend With Granny and Grumpy

Tyson enjong a smoothie with Granny and Grumpy on the front porch.

Granny bougth some plastic fruit so Tyson could help "cut-up" things for lunch, but finally decides that tearing it apart is sometimes easier!

OGDEN INSTITUTE GRADUATION

On Sunday, Yer Mom and Dad joined Heidi to see Scott's graduation from the Ogden Institute of religion. (Sorry, flashes from a distance on cheap camera's don't produce a very good image but it's the best we have)

Yer Mom, Scott and Heidi in front of the Ogden Tabernacle after the graduation meeting.

Congratulations Scott, we look forward to Heidi inviting us to her graduation some day.

LOCKED IN THE BASEMENT

This past weekends trip to Fruitland included some serious time "locked in the basement" with tools and mud.

By the end of the weekend Randy and Dad had managed to complete three coats of mud in the family room, bedroom and photo studio.

Dad managed to escape from the basement just in time for sanding to begin.

Have fun with that Randy.... keep us posted!

Delivery Service

Yes, the piano finally made it to Fruitland, and in one piece. After it was loaded the van was taken in for service and the service advisor was told to drive carefully due to the piano in the cargo area. He noted on the ticket for the mechanic not to make sudden starts or stops due to the "vehicle is equipped with a piano." Too bad that mom flew up in advance or she could have sat in the back seat and played on the way.
It was Heidi's birthday gift but she's going to have to learn to share with Tyson and Randy.

Short Visit to Fruitland

Home decorating tips from Heidi. Having delivered a box of randomness to Heidi from her old closet at home, it was time to line up and assess the EBay value of some of her childhood collections.

Tyson, helping "daddy" assemble the new Shop Vac from Christmas.

PIZZA PERFECT in Fruitland

Donuts, donuts and more donuts.

What started at Randy's ended at Bob's. In spite of what the sign says, Randy's were better.

Farmer's Market

There were many fabulous choices for dinner....
but even more choices for dessert.

This is where Granny and Grumpy ended their stay in the Los Angeles area.

Grumpy's Favorite Ride in California

After having seen Randy's Donuts on the Food Network, I was hoping they wouldn't be a bust. I thought they were delicious and there existence in the van made the ride from LAX to Anaheim my favorite ride of the week!

White Christmas

This is what we woke up to on Christmas morning. Trixy wouldn't venture past the shoveled path to fresh snow.
